This Is Our Inspiration for the Work We Do

We have a picture that hangs in my office, just to the right of my desk. In the picture, which I took myself, you see a cannon in Gothenburg, Sweden, in a fort that was built in the 1600's. This antique cannon does not fire cannon balls anymore, though. This one has daisies growing out of the muzzle, perhaps after being planted there by someone. When I started my own law practice as a workers' compensation and personal injury attorney, I framed this picture and put it up next to my desk. When I look up at this picture I am reminded of the positive impact our work has on the lives of our clients and their families. This picture of a long silent cannon with daisies growing from the muzzle is a perfect representation of turning tragedy into triumph; of taking something bad and making it into something good.

It is very difficult to pick yourself back up after being knocked down like that, and many times people do not even know where to begin. On top of that, they begin thinking about haggling with the insurance companies and how difficult it could be to get fair compensation for all of their injuries and damages.
